Meet Alexandra

Alexandra Mendez, M.Ed., is the founder of AT Solutions LLC, providing assistive technology consulting, accessibility-focused instructional design, training, and support to schools, organizations, and individuals. With a background in assistive technology, special education, instructional leadership, and educational technology, Alexandra is passionate about helping people overcome barriers through innovative, practical technology solutions.

Before launching AT Solutions, Alexandra held leadership roles supporting assistive technology and special education services, including Assistant Director of Assistive Technology Services for a nonprofit. She has worked closely with students, educators, and adult consumers through evaluations, training, coaching, and individualized technology support.

Before moving into assistive technology leadership, Alexandra worked as a Special Education Teacher, Mathematics Teacher, Inclusion Coach, and Case Manager. These experiences continue to shape her collaborative, creative, and student-centered approach.

Outside her professional work, Alexandra is a former University of Connecticut cheerleader who cheered during the university’s NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship season. She is also a freelance watercolor artist who blends creativity and design with her passion for accessibility and learning. When not working, Alexandra enjoys spending time with her dog, Cami, who is often nearby during late-night design sessions and project planning.

Through AT Solutions, Alexandra combines technical expertise, creativity, and a genuine passion for helping others build confidence, independence, and access through technology.
